Last week I had the pleasure of designing my own pair of custom pair of Fidelity Denim and meeting the founder, Jason Trotzuk. Lately I have had the urge to get back into painting (something that my mum and I used to do together when I was a kid, and I used to love doing when I was in high-school), so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go and let out my inner artist.

I chose a pair of The Parker's, a mid-rise, cropped, boyfriend/bootleg fit jean with a frayed bottom. Although the jeans were already distressed, I distressed them a little further and then began by splattering white and a little bit of green paint sparingly all over them. Because I am V into florals for fall (GROUNDBREAKING), I decided to paint on 3 little roses.

When I was painting my denim, Jason took a notice to my design and came over and told me a story of how he first got into designing denim. He told me that when he was younger, his mother told him that he needed to get a job, so he decided to start buying vintage jeans from the thrift store, which he would paint designs on (such as flowers, and snakes, etc.) and sell.

This was such a great event, and it definitely inspired me to get back into painting - so keep an eye out for my future creations!!
