SPIRULINA


I try to take SPIRULINA every day - whether its in tablet form or in my smoothies! Spirulina is a superfood blue/green plant algae that provides a concentrated source of protein, vitamins, and antioxidants.

Some of the benefits of spirulina are :

1. It is 65% protein and amino acid - including the essential fatty acid GLA (gamma linolenic acid) which is popular for it's anti-inflammatory properties - GLA is difficult to find in food sources and normally has to be created by the body, but spirulina is one of the few foods with natural GLA content!

2. It is packed with chlorophyll - which helps remove toxins from the blood and boosts your immune system

3. It is high in calcium and has 26 times the amount of calcium than cow's milk

4. It is a great source of vitamins and nutrients

5. It can increase fat burning with and during exercise
